INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS (NON-U.S. CITIZENS/PERMANENT RESIDENTS)

Undergraduate level

Degree-seeking
• Applicants applying to IIT either as freshmen or transfer students may be eligible for partial merit international scholarships.
Partial merit scholarship are as follows for August 2016-May 2017:
Freshmen - Scholarship range of 15,000 USD to 25,000 USD per year in increments of 2500 USD
Transfer - Scholarship range of 13,000 USD to 19,000 USD per year in increments of 3,000 USD
• Applicants awarded a scholarship amount upon admission, will continue to receive the SAME amount of scholarship during his/her subsequent years of study, with NO FURTHER INCREASE, provided that the student remains in full-time status and has a Cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• No separate scholarship application is required
• All applicants are reviewed by the Undergraduate Admissions Committee for eligibility
• The scholarship amount may be renewed for the student’s subsequent years of study at IIT provided that s/he maintains full-time status and a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of a 4.0 scale. The scholarship amount will remain unchanged during the students' subsequent years of study at IIT.

Non-Degree visiting
• Applicants applying to IIT on the 1 semester or 1-year visiting undergraduate program from a partner school , if they qualify for admission, may be eligible for a partial merit scholarship of $18,000 for the year or $9,000 for the semester for the academic year August 2016-May 2017.
• No separate scholarship application is required
• Applicants must be first selected by the partner school

Non-Degree exchange
• Applicants admitted as Exchange students for a semester or for a year to IIT, do NOT pay any tuition fees to IIT. However, they are responsible for payment of the Mandatory and Other Fees at IIT including Room and Board. Admitted Undergraduate Exchange students to IIT, residing in IIT on-campus housing, are eligible to receive a partial scholarship of 1,500 USD per semester towards their room accommodation at IIT.

Graduate level

Selected engineering students from partner schools interested in any of the 1 year Master's programs offered at our Stuart School of Business (SSB), will only be eligible for Stuart School of Business scholarships. The scholarships are based on the GRE/GMAT scores subject to full-time academic study for consecutive semesters at SSB, and maintenance of 3.0 or better GPA, for the semesters necessary for an MS degree from Stuart School of Business.

Degree-seeking
• Applicants from partner schools applying for the DOUBLE DEGREE MASTER’s at IIT, may be eligible for a partial merit scholarship for the year which would be deducted from the tuition cost. The amount of scholarship is indicated in each partner school’s agreement document with IIT.
